Trying To Cure Panic Attacks?

For the Pill that lived in Pain? by Dilip Muralidaran

If you have these attacks you know how they can be very scary for you and those are you. These can effect every part of your life and can be very scary for those around you. Luckily there are a few ways out there that can help you cure panic attacks.

Unfortunately there is not one thing out there right now that is a sure cure for it. Of course there are lots of prescription medications out there to help you along with it, from antidepressants and even a blood pressure medication. If this is remedy that you want, talk to your personal physician, they will be able to make sure you are healthy enough for medication.

Like to try to curb your illnesses a little more earthly? There is a popular herbal supplement out there called St. Johns Wort that has been shown to help. Not only can it help you with the attacks it can help you with depression, stomach problems and even hemorrhoids. Before taking anything natural it is always recommended that you talk to your doctor first to make sure it will not have a reaction to anything else that you could possibly be taking, if anything at all.

The top way to curb your attacks is to decrease your stress level. Almost all of the attacks are caused by a severe amount of stress, so if you are doing something repeatedly that causes an attack, perhaps it may be best if you stop doing it. If you like to bungee jump, but have a panic attack after, it is possibly best that you not do that anymore.

This simple breathing exercise is a great way to stop those sudden episodes. The minute that you feel that anxiety burning up inside of you, find some place quiet and comfortable to sit in. Shut off the lights completely or dim them, whatever you prefer, and sit down, put arms at your side with palms up. Don't force your hands open just rest them openly. Sitting like this will make sure your blood flows with out restriction and allows the oxygen to flow as well. Now close your eyes, and take one deep breath in through your nose, and then out through your mouth. When you take the breath in, hold it for about five seconds. Repeat this as long as needed and that burning anxiety will melt away.

If doing only one of these is not enough, add another method. For example, you are trying the prescription remedy or the herbal method, and you have a sudden attack, add the breathing method to it.

Eventually in the future there may be a sure way to cure panic attacks, but right now there is not. There are just proven ways to keep them at bay while you continue to live a productive life. Just make sure before trying anything new, to consult your doctor.
